Received my 5th agent rejection, but another personal one. Most say they won't even respond unless they're interested in your work, so getting a response is something, I suppose. This was easier than the first one, after which I just wanted to stare at my computer and eat various forms of chocolate. I am pressing on this time, several more agents to research and query. Writing community on Twitter says average rejection by agents is 50, but I wasn't sure if that was the average before a writer quit altogether, just self-published or actually found an agent to represent them. I didn't ask. Other writers counting rejections?
