A few decades ago, I was using this mail bag to stash a half-kilo of my dad's cocaine. I was in a really dark place—hiding in the attic from the cops, that is! If you read Midnight Calling: A Memoir of a Drug Smuggler's Daughter, then you know this mail bag! Today, I keep my photos and memorabilia of family and friends in this bag, reminders of those things I once traded for that next drink or drug. And a reminder of what I would give up again if I start thinking I could have "just one drink or snort."
If you're not living the life you want, find a new stash! And if you're struggling with addiction, get help; that is a beast that can't be beaten alone.
Lynn, how fitting that you and this mail bag partner to bring a story of hope and resilience to others. A compelling read, a brave author, an inspired story, an amazing woman. Sandy
Thank you Kathy!
Lynn a bag you loved to hate with plenty of good and bad memories. Now a bag with cherished memories and a book to show how far you have come. An excellent book. Kathy👣
I'm proud of what you've accomplished. I know your book and your blogs will help so many people. Hugs.
